Vulva Voce is a band which rewrites the 'string quartet' as we know it. Taking influence from folk, jazz, classical, techno and funk, they write original music which honours women's stories from throughout history.
Alongside their string instruments, Vulva Voce uses singing, movement and anecdotes to connect with their audiences. They create a set which defies genre and brings people together through music, stories and good grooves.
British composer and solo artist Fiona Brice creates a hypnotic instrumental set on solo violin to open the night, with effects pedals and live looping to showcase music from her albums “Postcards From” and “and You Know I Care” (Bella Union).
This performance will be taking place in the Cellar Bar, and tickets are mixed standing/cabaret seating.
